I do stuff on the side, currently working on a small app for a "inpatient" facility (non hospital) to track patient demographic data, I'm using rocky lhotkas csla framework, it's actually kinda cool

question is "what's next", i saw on another thread someone asking about a full on inventory control system, hmm..would that be a good thing to keep the brain cells from fomenting rioting amongst the other organs? or perhaps a small business employee tracker (no payroll, just demo information) or ???

open to suggestions of things that people see, i can never seem to get the gig on rentacoder, but occasionally someone will ask for a full on package prewritten so may make a few and do it that way.

Don't worry about not getting jobs on Rentacoder. They're really not worth it, unless your cost of living is approximately negative.

They'll always find an Indian (fact not a racial comment) to do it for almost free

so i've noticed and i work with an indian coder, damn smart (one of the few) the last two we had were about as useful as teets on a boar pig.

and pen, it's not exactly contract, i do side stuff (i am a FTE with the state) on a project basis. but with gas the way it is and food et al i gotta do something to make the proverbial ends meet.

RAC is only good if your really looking for experience and to make some quick money (even though they pay every half a month or so) to pay for a subscription on a site or buy something. Its not really worth while when you want to make a living out of it (#2)
